Flat White is a bespoke ceramic and porcelain tile studio based in Brooklyn.

We transform off-the-shelf tiles with textures, treatments, symbols, and patterns that can cover walls or be combined with existing configurations. Each project is a unique exploration of color, composition, shape, and experimental techniques.

Our studio is led by Violette Van Parys, a French designer trained in ancient techniques. Her tiles are hand treated with colorful oxides, precious metals, and natural oils fired at over 1400ºF that fuse with existing glazes for durable products that will stand the test of time.

We work with architects, designers, artists, and home owners to develop bespoke prototypes for special projects. Our tiles are used in private and commercial properties, indoors and out.
